The campaign revolves around the history of the "Picó", which began between the 50's and 70's; a group of men in Cartagena were known for carrying a tape recorder with them everywhere they went to light up the party. They were sought after by the entire community to celebrate marriages, fandangos, neighborhood parties and all kinds of celebrations. The recorder was popularly known as the "Pollo Ronco". One day, its audio system stopped working and what seemed like the end of a traveling party, became the beginning of a cultural movement that today permeates the entire Caribbean Coast of Colombia. The recorder was transformed into a giant audio box, full of lights and colors: the "Picó". From that day on, a cultural expansion was generated that ended in artistic expressions such as "El baile picotero" and a whole popular graphic that today is a national symbol.
